Thailand is the world's 50th largest land in land area, while it is the world's twentieth main territory in terms of inhabitants. It is analogous in population to nations such as France and the United Kingdom, plus is comparable in territory size to France and California in the Usa. The regional environment is tropical and characterized by monsoons. There is a raining, warm, and overcast south-western heavy rain from mid-May to September, as well as a dry, cool north-eastern monsoon from November to mid-March. The southern isthmus is always hot and humid.

Thailand is native soil to some distinctive geographic regions, in part corresponding to the provincial groups. The northern most of the country is steep, with the maximum spot being Doi Inthanon. The north-eastern, Isan, consists of the Khorat Highland, enclosed to the east by the Mekong Waterway. The centre of the land is dominated by the predominantly flat Chao Phraya river valley, that  runs into the Gulf of Thailand. The south consists of the narrow Kra Isthmus that widens into the Malay Peninsula. Politically, there are 6 geographical regions which differ from the others in inhabitants, essential resources, geographical features, and level of social and financial improvement. The diversity of the regions is the most pronounced attribute of Thailand's physical location.

The Chao Phraya and the Mekong River are the sustainable store of rural Thailand. Business level production of crops use both rivers and their tributaries. The Gulf of Thailand fed by the Chao Phraya, Mae Klong, Bang Pakong and Tapi Rivers. It contributes to the tourism sector owing to its clear shallow waters along the coasts in the Southern Region and the Kra Isthmus.
